Day Forty-Four: Choice

If abortion bans were about babies, the Republican party would be tireless advocates for paid parental leave, universal high-quality childcare, healthcare as a human right, high pay for teachers, and strict gun control laws. They would do whatever it takes to make sure there was enough formula for every baby who needs it. They would welcome refugees and immigrants. They would be concerned about climate change, because the next generation will inherit our actions.

Instead we have a Republican party that is pro-forced birth, and a Democrat that refuses to be as bold and brave as families need them to.
