This is part of a creative project called 100 Word, 100 Days. In this project I’ll be writing a 100 word piece about my experience as a new mother every day for 100 days. Read more here.

So, how does one get a baby to like bathtime?

Both my siblings say their kids immediately liked baths. And these kids all love water. My daughter screams the moment she gets in the bath, and does not stop until she’s dried, rediapered, dressed, comforted, and fed.

She hates bathing, and it’s not fun to do it. But I understand that bathing is good for her. It keeps her clean and staying clean keeps her healthy. More importantly, baths makes her smell nice. Her skin ends up being extra soft and kissable. Hopefully familiarity breeds fondness where water is concerned.
