This is part of a creative project called 100 Word, 100 Days. In this project I’ll be writing a 100 word piece about my experience as a new mother every day for 100 days. Read more here.

While nursing my daughter this afternoon I listened to a podcast about formula. About its creation, its controversies, and how parents are now desperately trying to find the food they need to feed their babies.

We bought a can of formula after we came home from the hospital. We weren’t sure if I would be able to feed her and wanted to be prepared. I am able to feed her. Now that can haunts me. I worry about giving the can up. But I can’t stand the thought of keeping formula that someone would use to feed a hungry baby.
