This is part of a creative project called 100 Word, 100 Days. In this project I’ll be writing a 100 word piece about my experience as a new mother every day for 100 days. Read more here.

This is where I should say that I am more efficient since becoming a parent. But the truth is that I’ve always felt that time has a peculiar habit of slipping away.

We started using an app to track our daughter's sleep, feeds, and diapers. I am constantly in awe of how much time has passed. Before her time was something to wrangle. Now time is simply a concept I can choose to acknowledge.

How long has the nap been? Five minutes, or an hour. What did I do with that time? I stared at my daughter. Nothing. And everything.
