This is part of a creative project called 100 Word, 100 Days. In this project I’ll be writing a 100 word piece about my experience as a new mother every day for 100 days. Read more here.

Endless diapers. We have stacks of disposables gifted to us, cloth diapers from the diaper service, and a set of hand-me-down cloth diapers we haven’t yet figured out. We have opinions on diaper creams, preferences for prefolds, and silly songs to sing while she’s screaming.

At the hospital we were sent home with pictures of healthy infant poop. We used it so much I almost stuck it on our refrigerator. We expected to be disgusted, or at least put off by changing her. But it turns out it’s just another thing that we do out of love for her.
