This is part of a creative project called 100 Word, 100 Days. In this project I’ll be writing a 100 word piece about my experience as a new mother every day for 100 days. Read more here.

Yesterday while she was protesting tummy time my daughter rolled over onto her back. This officially means she’s can no longer be swaddled and we’ve lost our most trustworthy tool for sleep. A few hours later she gave her first delighted chuckle while smiling at my husband’s mother.

She’s putting herself on a true nap schedule now too, not that it makes it easier to put her down. Soon she’ll sleep in her own room. She’s already expressing interest in sitting up. She’s not able to just yet, and thank goodness. I’m getting emotional processing all her growth and changes.
