I tell my husband it sounds like it should be a species of bird, and he tells me it is. It’s also a yeast infection in her mouth that the doctor tells me why she’s changed her latch. The doctor doesn’t tell me it’s the reason she’s been fussy, or why she only will nap in our arms, but I can read between the lines.
She doesn’t like the medication. It probably tastes strange. She fights us as we dropper it into her cheeks, not yet knowing that the reason we cause her frustration is to spare her more pain.
